PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS

Overview

A printed circuit board (PCB) mechanically supports and electrically connects electronic components or electrical components using conductive tracks, pads and other features etched from one or more sheet layers of copper laminated onto and/or between sheet layers of a non-conductive substrate. Components are generally soldered onto the PCB to both electrically connect and mechanically fasten them to it. Buse Industries can build the three main types of PCBs used today: Through-Hole, Surface Mounted, and Hybrid boards.

PCB Capabilities:

  • Leaded and Lead Free processing

  • SMD – single and double sided

  • Thru-hole and mixed technologies

  • Conformal coating

  • Fine Pitch components

  • Chip components from 0402 size

  • Gold fingers

  • Odd shape and multi-layer boards

Through-Hole PCBs

Boards may be single sized, double sided or multi-layer.   Through-hole components are generally soldered on one side only.  Axial components are inserted by our Universal auto-insert machine or the slide line. Buse still supports this technology and can support all your odd form through-hole component for leaded and lead-free assemblies.

Surface Mounted PCBs

Surface mounting lends itself well to a high degree of automation, reducing labor costs and greatly increasing production rates.   Buse utilizes a flexible placement SMT line that can place 20,000 cph from sizes from 0402 to 1 sq inch fine pitch components.  Leaded and Lead-Free processing ensures we can cover all our customer’s needs.

Hybrid PCBs

As the name suggests, hybrid boards are created using a combination of through-hole and surface-mounted techniques, providing maximum design flexibility.
